The threat of a possible job action by Canada Post has now been placed on hold for 24 hours. Initially, the union served a 72 hour strike notice on Thursday, but extended it by 24 hours at the mediator's request. The union said that if there was no deal reached, the union would begin job action by having its members refuse to work overtime on a rotating basis, starting in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
